Piggyback another router

I have searched, but have yet to find an answer. I have a Netgear router I use as my main router and access point. I have an old Linksys WRT54G and want to put that upstairs. Can I 'piggyback' the Linksys router to the Netgear router?

are you trying to wirelessly connect the linksys to the netgear?

Via a cable between LAN ports yes, Fixed IP on Linksys and turn off DHCP also on the Linksys and you should be good to go. If you are trying to wirelessly connect them I would think not, what firmware are you running on the Linksys??

Yes, I'm trying to have the linksys 'see' the Netgear (Model WNDR3700v4) wirelessly.

you will need to install a 3rd party firmware. I use DD-WRT.

And then configure it as a Repeater Bridge
