Is 42-44 celsius average temp for a PIII 1.2? Hopefully I'm not putting unneccessary strain on the CPU. It's using an Antec CPU Cooler HSF.

My P3 1000 @ 11009 runs between 40-46 degrees celsius usually so i think you are ok. I used to run in the 30's before i overclocked it.

The guy from where i bought my CPU from told me once that I should worry if my CPU heats up to about 55*C.
That sounds resonable to me.

You want to see some good temps for a high clock? Go to http://www.crashmania.tk and look at the screenshot of my old Coppermine/stock Intel cooler!

It seems a bit high, but it's fine. Usually, 1.2 P3's range from 35-40 celsius. I'm running a 1Ghz P3 coppermine, and I get 30 idle, 35 celsius full load on a stock fan.
