New to forum because I want to get expert advice. I was reading Tom's How To Make Your PC 5 Times Faster, and I got a little confused about the selecting PIII at 133MHz or PIII at 100MHz.
My board (ASUS P2B-D) can jumper up to 112MHz (as far as I can tell) at FSB and I can only get 8.5x on CPU jumpers (I think). I am currently running PIII/850MHz Slot 1's.
I want to go to 1GHz+, but am limited to (currently) 1GHz on the Slot 1. Using a FCPGA adapter will work fine, but most 1GHz+ processors (there is a 1.10GHz/100 FCPGA processor) are using 133MHz bus.
My question is: Can I use a 133MHz processor (as Tom's guide shows) on this 100MHz bus MB?
Thanks for your help.
