[SOLVED] Pin on gpu half broken is it safe to test?

The pictures show the pin and card in question. I dug out this relic of a card but when I had a look at the back the half of the last pin (or first I don't really know) was sticking out so I immediately put it back in place but I think it was too late since the pin looks kind of snapped I'm not gonna lie. I'm not going to test it on my main rig for obvious reasons but I would still like to know if this means that the card is gone forever, or if its even safe to plug this sort of thing in to a system before I do so. PCI-E pins have contact with PCI-E slot with the full height of the pin, and not just the tip of it. So, having the pin cut from the middle, shouldn't matter.

This pin is ground (Pin 82 side A as per wiki), so the card should work fine even completely without it. Just make sure it does not contact other pins as that could cause short.

Thank you both! I had less anxiety plugging it in and have a better understanding now. Card works good as new.
