Hello guys i recently got a new gpu that requires a 8 pin and a 6 pin cable my psu is 650w made by turbox and has only the 8 pin cable. If i purchase a 6 pin adaptor do i have a chance to fry my gpu?

Solution
Possible it could fry the gpu, cpu, motherboard, maybe start a fire. From what I am seeing of other Turbo-X units I highly doubt that PSU can delver anything close to it's rating, which is likely why they didn't give it enough power connectors to run higher powered hardware. Best option would be to buy a better(better does not necessarily mean bigger) PSU that has the proper pci-e connectors without the use of adapters.
