Question Ping from 192.168.1.x to 192.168.2.x

Hi,

Im using cisco packet tracer and i need to ping computer from 192.168.1.x to 192.168.2.x.
They are connected on the same switch and router, but i cant seem to find a way for one to ping another.

i tried puting router ip as their default gateway, but it didnt work

Change subnet mask to 255.255.0.0

I would drop your subnet back to 255.255.252.0, this will only allow your network to do 192.168.0-3.x

Using 255.255.0.0 opens you up to 192.168.0-255.0-255 im guessing you dont need 65536 IP address on your network.

I've got quite a lot of experience with networking, subnetting, and vlsm.
are you in a class, working on some homework or are you trying to figure out something on your own?

Describe to me the envinronment and what you're trying to do I can for sure help. I also used to tutor this in college. I kind of miss it actually.
