[SOLVED] Ping has almost doubled after hard router reset

Used to get 44ms before hard reset, now I'm getting 65-70+. I'm not sure what I can do about this, there are times it would go from 44-55 but never that steep of an increase. I called my ISP and they weren't able to help.

What are you using to test this?

It's all based on the test server that you connecting to. For example: www.speedtest.net you can manually pick the server that is closest to you and your ping will be smaller. The father away the server the higher the ping is.

I want to make sure you are talking about this type of ping and not basing this issue off a game server that you used to have a certain ping to.

Are you testing this on WiFi or Ethernet connection?

Note: Anything over 150ms ping will result in noticeable lag

This can happen depending on where you're connecting in the isp's network. My own pings on all 4 of my accounts vary up to 40ms.
