So recently when I started playing CS:GO, I've noticed I've been getting this horrific ping spike. My ping goes from 50-80 ms then spikes to 240 and slowly drops down to normal again. It happens at random and can't tell when it's going to happen. Sometimes, it even spikes to 1400 ms and the game is unplayable. I also play wireless.

Help please?

First off, get a wired connection. Wireless of any kind is absolutely the worst connection method for gaming. If you can't get a direct wired connection, consider powerline network adapters or MoCA.

Network traffic also causes high ping response, which could be beyond your control. It could simply be others using the Internet within your LAN, or times of high ISP congestion.

Well, I want to avoid spending 60 dollars on a powerline adapter and wired isn't possible for me. This used to not happen to me until a some days ago. I wouldn't buy a powerline adapter unless I knew 100% that it would fix my problem.
