[SOLVED] Ping/Spikes what to do

Hey guys and girls need sum help.

So my friend has an issue when he (starts/during ) games of BFV he gets weird ping spikes normally it would be 30ish then it goes up to 215ish warning symbols ect on screen.
We both thought it was internet issues but at a recent LAN event our clan holds, the same issues happened. Proving that its not a home internet issue
I really dont know whats causing it, was thinking of deleting his ethernet drivers ect reinstalling ect but thought i would get sum proper advice.
He is running a 8700k, Gigabyte Z370 AOURUS ultra gaming, 1080ti ROG strix.
Whats your thoughts.
His main game is BFV and no i dont think he is having issues like that in other games.
Any help would be great.

Which NIC is he using? That board has two, an Intel NIC and a Killer NIC.

I would test both and see which one it is happening on and as well make sure to update the drivers to the latest available. If it happens on one nic (say the Killer NIC) and not the other then he can use the other NIC.

Cheers Jimmy will give that a try after he finishes work today but that mobo only has one dont it.. double checked the pic only has the one

Sorry I did a search with what you had in the first post and clocked the first Gigabyte link to the Aorus Gaming 7 which has 2. Do you know which model itr is? Possibly the Aorus Gaming 5?

Have him try the latest Intel driver. Gigabyte has one but its a bit behind version wise.
