Pink artifacting around letters sometimes

Hello, could someone tell me what kind of issue is this? I got it when I installed windows 8.1 pro with media center today.

specs:
CPU: i5 6400
RAM: 8GB
GPU: AMD Radeon RX460 2GB
MOBO: Asus H110M-K

Many times....when you see artifacts, it's the sign of a failing graphics card.

Are you sure they are the result of you installing the software....because I would find that a little odd.

If it IS due to the software....I'd uninstall it to see if it goes away.

Perhaps Windows 8.1 medial center hijacked your graphics driver and changed it?

I would check that.

I will try installing win 7 and that maybe will fix the issue because when I downloaded the drivers for win 8.1 from amd's website they were really outdated like from 2017 so maybe thats the problem?

sounds like failing video card. good luck with the reinstall. no, drivers won't cause artifacts, failing gpu hardware does that. but, did you test your monitor with another different one or a TV set?

I was thinking "failing video card" as well.

Which is why I posted...."Many times....when you see artifacts, it's the sign of a failing graphics card.".

try to change ouput type in driver settings? there should be switch for rgb/ycbcr
