Pink color gradient at the left side of screen monitor

I was just watching youtube videos when suddenly a pink color at the side of my screen shows up making it look like a gradient pink color starting from the left side. Is this some screen monitor problem? I plugged the same screen on my laptop and the pink color was still there. Any help? Thanks

when you boot to bios do you see that pink line on edge of screen ?
if so then its the screen, is it under warrantee ? how old is it ?

What type of connection do you have to your monitor? I have seen this sort of problem with DVI cables, when one pin is a bit loose ..... Try removing the cable and plugging it in again, or try an HDMI cable ....

It is no longer on warranty. The monitor is 4 years old. On bios yes on boot I can see the pink line.

I am using HDMI cable. Tried other HDMI still the sam.e

I fear your monitor has either a pixilation issue (most likely) or the lcd has shifted in the case and your seeing the edge of it. do you have a picture of it.

that's not a "line" that is a colour change. yes it would be your monitor (check no one pranked you by changing the setting on the monitor menu), as per your manual instructions : https://www.manualslib.com/manual/430164/Asus-Vx238h.html?page=9#manual
