We have a Dell Inspron N5010 laptop. The screen went black so we could not see anything. We used the "restart" feature (back to when it worked properly) and it fixed the black issue. However, during the repair process, we noticed that the white tint became light pink. Now, all white space is light pink. Have you ever heard of this before? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like the cable connecting the graphics card/CPU to the screen is going bad. This issue can be recreated on a desktop if the VGA cable connection isn't plugged in all the way.
What would be suggested for the next step(s) to fix?

In my situation - I got the pink tinged screen on my laptop when plugged in. On battery it wasn't there and on an external monitor it wasn't there. Ran a barrage of tests from Dell on it. Nothing worked. Tech support could not fix this and wanted me to send in my computer. My husband had me go to the toolbar on the bottom of the screen (click on the carrot/up arrow), locate the "True Color" icon, and DISABLE it ! Worked immediately!

Installed latest windows 10 build a few days ago and now a display driver update is causing a red tint/hue to the laptop screen (HP quad core processor machine with intel onboard graphics). Uninstsalled all display driver updates from device manager and issue is fixed but and a big but, as soon as i restart the machine, the OS is picking up the driver update files from the hard drive and returning the display back to red tint.
Got the updates uninstalled again and avoiding a reboot. Meanwhile, trying to research about the update driver's file location to delete those update driver files and avoid the issue.
Do not mess with the hardware and waste money, it is the drivers.
Good luck folks.

Similar to your answer, my Lenevo Laptop suddenly went pink, went into display and realised I had the night light set to come on at the same time as when the screen went pink. Night light is a setting to turn on warmer hues when using laptop at night

"This issue can be recreated on a desktop if the VGA cable connection isn't plugged in all the way." Thank you so much! This was my problem exactly: tightening the connection fixed it immediately and perfectly.
