lookerup :
my screen has gone pink. i feel like it's the grapic drvier, but did a clean install twice. I am on the latest nvidia driver 296.10.
it would sometimes freeze and have to restart the pc.

I get the same thing, you WILL have to downgrade the drivers to 295.73 (previous one) to get it working again like me. I'd get that pink screen when watching youtube videos in Win7!

Driver Sweeper, as they provide no link : http://phyxion.net/Driver-Sweeper/Driver-Sweeper/Version-3-2-0/
I re-installed my whole pc, and at the same time added a 2nd drive for RAID 0 and it was STILL doing it.
I'm Running a Gigabyte h67-ud3h-B3 Mobo + 2500K cpu and 8gb of 1333mhz ram (everything up-to-date, bios, firmwares, Intel & gigabyte win7 drivers,etc...)
It's also a Gigabyte video card : GIGABYTE GV-N460OC-1GI V3 GeForce GTX 460
In Ubuntu before my whole Os re-install, it was running FINE, no corruption at all, so this is def a Win7 driver issue. Unified drivers suck ass mate.
I hope this helps, I'm still testing my rig with the old driver, I'll report back if it doesn't fix it. And try to follow the UN-install guide as much as possible, where he mentions removing the stereoscopic 3d driver, don't worry about it, ours is called Nvidia 3dvision and Nvidia 3D vision controller, just Remove those instead, as the forum article is quite old.
EDIT: Before the 296 Drivers, it was really stable , even on Furmark Benchmark for 15+ mins, didn't break a sweat (max 69 degrees) http://www.geeks3d.com/20120416/furmark-1-10-0-download-gpu-stress-test-burn-in-opengl-benchmark-nvidia-geforce-gtx680-amd-radeon/
