I am still waiting for answers from my last posts - have you managed to look
at the list of processes and come to any conclusions.
Also have you looked at the fact that when I loaded windows as a new system
one of the core drivers was a kernel debugger.
I still have this game that I cannot play and now it is more than fustrating

Howelljo,

I've been waiting over a week for you to post the list of processes
as I requested to determine what was being flagged as a debugger.

I've checked this newsgroup several times daily for that list.

From the tone of your post, you seem to have an expectation of
service from me. Please realise that we answer posts here out of
courtesy to fellow computer users. Peer support is not obligatory.

Our only payment is a thank you and appreciation for help given.

Jimmy.

Please excuse the tone of the message, born out of fustration. I actually
sent the list as requested the same day as request. I'm not sure what's gone
on then as I can see them when I log on.
The other thing that I have now come across is that one of the processes
running is "Netinfo.exe". When I checked this on the web I found out that it
is a server based debugging system and i was wondering if this is the elusive
problem we have been looking for.
However I cannot seem to be able to disable it to test my theory as each
time I stop the process it immediately re-starts. I do not run my home pc as
a server and therefore cannot see any logical reason as to why it should be
on there to begin with.
Certainly this is a major difference in the running process on my pc where
the game will not run and the pc at work where the game will run.
Any thoughts?

Hi Howelljo,

Sounds like you have a powerful Trojan infecting your system.
Netinfo.exe is the executable used by Tilebot.a which drops
itself into your windows System folder and replicates itself on
your local machine, installs a rootkit, and can perform DDDOS
attacks, log keystrokes, and prevent software from installing.

a bit lost on the website you directed me to. Do I have to purchase their
scan engine or can I get rid of it using Zone Alarm which I currently run

Hi Howelljo,

Zone Alarm Firewall won't remove viruses or Trojans, you'll need
to use an antivirus software such as Trend Micro's offering or any
of the other companies such as: AVG, Symantec, McAfee, etc.

Ideally, you can google for Tilebot removal instructions and clean
your system manually or using some of the utilities available such as:
http://www.sophos.com/support/disinfection/tilebot.html

Hi Jimmy

I didn't mean zone alarm, I actually meant AVG sorry. I downloaded the
removal tool from sophos and unfortunately it did not find anything on my
system at all. Any further ideas, apart from backing up all of my system and
then formating c and re-installing that is

Hi Howelljo,

If none of the tools you've Googled can remove that Trojan /
Rootkit, try some of the manual removal instructions instead.

There's a lot of instructions to be found on Google, or you
may want to engage the experts in the security newsgroups.
