recently i have bought a Viewsonic vp930b, I was told that it was a 8ms LCD monitor.

When i was playing game i encounted a ghosting effect, after that i when to the viewsonic website and check and discover that is was actually a 20ms(typ) and 8ms(G to G)

I was so piss off about it...

If u bought that lcd for like %80+ gaming, then u had a wrong choice.. That monitor u have is the best lcd for everywork (I mean its the best monitor for a person who watches films, programing, photographing etc.) its ideal for everything.. However if u r really a gd gamer then u had to choose Vx922 - Vx924.. I don't think that ghosting is important.. Anyway have fun with it :)

I hear what your saying
I brought mine the day they arrived in perth and also was a bit pissed off when i discovered the missleading info in regards to refresh rate.
In saying that though i am still very impressed by it,but a small part of me wishes that i had brought the vx924

lol, I am a user of Vx924.. Although I have no problems with this I sometimes wish I had bought Vp930.. But if u think for a min. then u can understand if its the best lcd for your usage.. So don't worry have fun with it :)

I think we need to clarify a few things about misleading information...

...EVERYONE of the manufacturer's posts misleading product specs.

For instance, in a recent review I hear that the 2ms VX922 Viewsonic may be a cheapers 6bit panel with certain aspects of it's latency going down to 2ms, but on adverage being as high a 30ms.

So, while the screen doesn't appear to ghost much, it may not be as capable in areas other then video or gaming...

Every manufacturer's sales / marketing department is going to play games.

No need to clarify,I and i'm sure most people are well aware of of the misleading infomation/specs that is thrown at us on a day to day basis whether it be comp manafacturer's/suppliers,politicians or financial institutions.
However, sometimes manufacturers information is the only information that is available at the time and unfortunatly there are times when we do need to rely on this. Even knowing odds are that the info is misleading or incorrect.
Don't get me wrong i love my vp930 lcd. So much so i have ordered another one for a dual screen setup. I also though what the hell and order the vx924 for my wife or so she thinks.

maybe you bought it a while back, but there was a review of the vp930 as early as nov17 that would have set you right on those misleading specs (and they are misleading).

btw there is now a review of the vx922 at behardware...

i purchase the monitor late october and for the life of me was unable to find any reviews only the specs and the notion that it was going to be the lcd of all lcd's. If i recall i correctly i don't think it had made it onto veiwsonics web site yet. I'm glad i got when i did though because i purchase it for $700au and it jumped to $799au 2 weeks later.
