Hi, I have a problem with my graphics card/monitor. Though I don't have any idea what could be the problem, I recorded in macro my LCD. You will see pixels jumping left/right. This happens on resolution change/game being played. Simetimes I can see this happen even on a PC startup, so I doubt video drivers have to do anything with it. Sometimes adjusting monitors clock rates can fix the problem for a few mins. Tried changing refresh rates, resolutions, but none helped.

I'm using Win7, Asus Ati radeon 1950 pro, monitor: ASUS VW193D.

here is the sample how it looks:

Thank you!

Hmmm just learned that Ati does not support driver updates for cards lower than hd2000 since Catalyst 9.3, this means no windows 7 for me. Well... I guess ATI can go screw themselves, I'm gonna be nVidia buyer from now on. (even 5th series geforce support win 7 tho its stone aged).

ATI X series video GPUs are well known for exhibiting anomolies when they overheat. You are experiencing this issue. The bad news is-- once it begins to happen, you video is shot and it'll only get worse... until the video no longer works. The good news is, you know to avoid all ATI GPUs.

This is a KNOWN issue with ATI. The video chip is SHOT. Some suspect it has something to do with the "Hypermemory" technology the use to dynamically increase the usable memory size for the GPU by allocating memory from your CPU over a bridge PCI.

Anyway, this ATI issue is a topic on a number of other blogs. AVOID ATI AT ALL COSTS! OR-- Get ready to replace hardware!
