Placing a 2.5 inch HDD anywhere inside a desktop?

Long story short, I have a 2.5" HDD i want to use in my desktop but I don't think I should buy/use one of those adapter and I also already used all cable ties I have(I also don't want to go out of the house to buy a pack). So I am thinking of just putting the HDD in the bottom of the case or maybe stack it above a dead 3.5" I have in my desktop.

I am sorry for asking such a lazy question. Thank you very much for any suggestions and solutions.

Specs: 500 gb 5200rpm 2.5" seagate HDD
