Placing HDD in the CD drive slot

I have bought a new HDD and having no space to place it i have placed in under the CD drive however i am afraid it is not secured well enough as only one side of the HDD is secured with screw while the other side isn't my concern is that it will damage the HDD or bend it in some way and I wanted to know if this could happen or not?

If not vibrating, then I see no issue.

if it is vibrating or not secure you may have to get an adapter that will help secure it in those bigger drive bay's

Why not just screw it in on the other side as well?

If you PC happens to fall over, or if your transporting it, not having the other side screwed in would cause the HDD to bounce around, potentially damaging it.

I would do that but for some reason my case only has those screws on one side and the hdd is too doesn't cover the whole area

So youve already filed the 2 proper 3.5 inch bays underneath the optical bays ??

Personally with a traditional drive I'd buy a bay adapter & have it secured firmly

They're literally a few dollars
