Bits on my PC either are breaking or making too much noise, so I'm gonna changing the whole lot. I've already added a few new bits such as my graphics card and my case (so those won't change). My current setup:

  • Fractal Define Desire S, with 2 standard case fans
i3570k CPU with Coolermaster 2012 Evo heat sink and 2 x NF-F12PWM Case Fan 120 mm
    Nvidia GTX 970
    Corsair AX 850
    Some DDR3 RAM

My PSU is making a static noise and needs replacing. I'm think of getting "BeQuiet Straight Power 10 500W", what do you reckon? My CPU and motherboard may as well come out since I can build a new PC with the other parts. So I'm probably just going to get a Intel Core i7-4790K. Not sure if I should change my heatsink? But I want to get a Noctua NH-D15 because I hear they are quiet. I also have no clue about what motherboard to get.

The AX860 should be OK. Talk to Corsair with a view to RMAing.

Also look at Seasonic G550 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151119

The CM Hyper 212 evo should be fine for the i7 4790k if you aren't going to try to overclock it. The D15 would be good and quiet and allow some overclcoking.
