Hello,
I have noticed recently that my CPU goes 95-100% of usage while I am playing more demanding games (Battlefield 5, Resident Evil 2, Anthem beta) and because of that I often get some fps drops (not big ones, but droping from 60 fps to 55 every few minutes is very irritating). While i5 7400 is only 3.0GHz and has only 4 threads, is it reasonable to switch it to let's say: i7 6700k?
My GPU is GTX 1060 6GB and I have 16GB of RAM.
Before you suggest upgrade to CPU like i7 8400 which cost almost 1.5 times of i7 6400, I don't need really high CPU power. I just don't want my CPU to slow down my GPU, so If I will be changing my GPU let's say after year or two, I will probably change my CPU as well. It's CPU change just for now.
