Im playing planetside 2 at medium settings with 30 fps in a small fight i have a fx 8350 and a gtx 970 with no thermal throttleing does anyone know what my problem could be?

Solution
A 750Ti can get 60fps on BF4 ultra 1080p.
Would you mind running ungine heaven (I'm more familiar with it and know my way around its results).
You ought to get at LEAST a score of 1500 all maxed out 8 times AA. If you don't, you might have a dead card. My advice is to post a thread in the graphics card forum where people will know more about this than me, because my "field" is GPU overclocking, not troubleshooting, sorry.
Ok, something is REALLY wrong here. I tried the game yesterday and got solid 60Fps on medium with a gtx 950 overclocked and an i3 4170.

What resolution are you playing at? Have you tried messing with settings, so V sync, Anti-Aliasing? What is your internet speed like (only a problem if you are using wifi)? Have you got background updates going on or are you recording or something? Do you have the latest drivers for everything installed?

If none of the above is the problem, try running a free benchmark and compare your results to people with similar rigs, maybe you have a faulty component or something.
