[SOLVED] Planet Zoo AMD or Intel

Solution

Planet Zoo is a pretty CPU-intensive and taxing game, although it’s notably less CPU-heavy than Planet Coaster. You will require a decent modern processor along with a GPU. What are your current PC specs ?

As to whether the game [runs better on AMD or INTEL CPUs, I can't comment on this, but it should run equally well on both the processors, provided they offer a similar performance. It shouldn't matter much, but you can try asking this question at the game's official Forums.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

So long as you meet the minimum requirements of the game, you should be good. If you exceed the recommended requirements, you're in better territory. Out of curiosity what sort of hardware do you have access to work with said title?

Might want to parse your current specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:

Im going more for a laptop with these or close enough specs.
I assume the new Intel is better than the current AMD?

Screen: 2560x1440
CPU: Intel i7-12700H/i9-12900HK
Ram: DDR4/5 16/32
SSD/HDD: SSD 1/2T
GPU: 3070TI
OS: Win 11

AMD® Ryzen 9-5900HX

Okay, that CPU would be slower at least if we compare it with the i9-12900HK. The difference won't be very huge, but the Intel one is definitely faster.

Advantages of Intel Core i9 12900HK
  • Newer
  • Has 6 more physical cores
  • Has 8 MB larger L3 cache size
  • Newer PCI Express version – 4.0
  • Consumes up to 17% less energy than the Ryzen 9 5900HX – 45 vs 54 Watt
  • 24% faster in a single-core Geekbench v5 test - 1846 vs 1488 points (rough estimate)
  • 9% higher Turbo Boost frequency (5 GHz vs 4.6 GHz)
Advantages of AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX
  • More modern manufacturing process – 7 versus 10 nanometers..
