I have a player with this problem:
he is getting an error on his XP machine:
"16 bit Windows Subsystem:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for
running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to
terminate the application."
Anyone know what is causing the problem and how to fix it?

try the sollution Merlyn posted, the XP error message makes more sense than
the Win2000 error message, the file just could be missing or corrupt, even
though it would be strange because stock Win2000/XP comes with that file
and not many users even know it's there. I've once managed to cripple XP's
ability to run DOS and 16 bit Windows programs by editing autoexec.nt too
much.
