Planetside 2 low FPS

Hi,
I've only recently installed a new ASUS Matrix 7970 Platinum (today) and have noticed low FPS (around 20-30) on high settings. Does anybody else who plays this game with a similiar card get better FPS? other games run to my expectation just not Planetside 2
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Ok just tried Medium and Low with the same results... terrible FPS in the spawning locations, like around 5-10 FPS. Whats going on?

hey,
This game is not configure properly specially with AMD video cards..(Was so when i tried the anyway)

And 20-30 fps if you are on a busy server in this game is totally normal...

try @Brett928S2 idea as well... not sure what the improvements with these drivers upgrade are but AMD does roll out driver updates that makes run game's smoothly regularly..

It's just that the game is not configure properly..

Hey thanks for the quick reply... and no I haven't tried 12.11 beta yet. thats kind of a relief that its not just me although 5 frames at spawn locations makes it impossible to play for me. btw with the servers is Low under State good or bad (does State mean ping)? Like I said before this cards amazing in all other games (great frame rates) just not this one.

I already do, I take you're not a fan of planetside 2? I really like the game so thats why I'm asking...

@buchananjesse :- SRY i cant check it for you right now But you should be able to improve those rates somewhat better to playable by playing around with video settings withing the game and the control center..

edit:- Not exactly sure what the settings are anymore.. would take too long to download the game and try again

Hey for some reason my younger brother who has a different 7970 (default clock) gets really high and stable FPS in the game... we both have i7's (he has a 3770 and I a 2600k) so if he's getting good frame rates doesnt that mean I should be as well?
