Planing on using a hotswap bay for my hdd

I will have to move it between two computers, are hotswap bays functional enough? heres the one im looking at:

i am also planning adding a HDD rack to my case
i am looking at xigmatek 3 in 3 hotswap cage...

anyway, the 2nd link you posted is broken, i cannot see what product you referring to

beside motherboard support, is the HDD also must support hotswap too??
or any HDD will do ??
