Hello all, I'm a complete beginner to the whole custom PC building process (I have watched some vids and had some friends instruct me on how to put one together) but from that aside I haven't touched a computer's internals much. I'm planning on a getting together a computer build mainly orientated to gaming, but some productivity for school work and minor video editing is also a nice plus to have. I am planning to overclock and possibly SLI in the future. Original budget was $1500, but I'm stretching it to $1800-$1900, maybe a bit over $2000 if necessary.

At the moment this is the current planned build, it'd be much appreciated if I could get some opinions on how it seems.

CPU: i5 4670k
Motherboard: Asus Z87 Pro LGA1150 Socket (Motherboard was chosen because of wifi capabilities as my computer is realtively far away from my router)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2x4GB)
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB
HDD: WD Black 1TB
Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 780 w/ACX Cooler
PSU: Corsair HX850
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224/DB/BEBE
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Case: CM Storm Scout 2

Current Price without tax (Canadian): ~$1850

WOW, I have been upgarding my PC for some time and when I finish the upgrades I plan, its gonna be almost like yours! I vouch for this build, lol.
This a high end PC mu friend if you want my opinion , you might take a look at GTX 780ti which is the fastest GPU in the market right now , but its really expensive. Other than that.. CHEERS , LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!
Oh i forgot for SLI you might want a 1000W+ PSU if you are planning to run GTX780s cuz these guys need a lot of energy and just to feel safe about the any future upgrades ( in like 4-5 years or so , lol ) 😀
