Planning a PLP setup, just wanna make sure i got everything right!

Hello there! I'm planning this kind of monitor setup and i just want to be sure everything will work fine. I don't know that much about monitors, but i've been gathering information for a while and just want to be sure i won't screw up!

I'm planning to buy this monitor and two Dell2007fp (from amazon). My GTX970 have one DVI-I port, one DVI-D port, one HDMI port and one displayport, i'm planning to plug the two dell's on the DVI's and the big screen on the HDMI port.

Would that work fine? Did i forgot something? Anything i need to know before i buy all of this? Thanks a lot everyone

The pixel pitches are different, for the 2007 its 0.255, for the other it's 0.2505.

Which means that the 1600pixel vertical height will be different, the 2007 will be 0.255*1600 = 408mm and the other would be 1600*0.2505 = 400.8mm, so the screens are 7.2mm different in height and therefore there will be an offset as you move from screen to screen.

I tried to google about pixel pitch, i get that it's the distance between pixels, but what does that means practically? Would the different pixel pitches create visual problem, or it just means the alignment wont be perfect?

the alignment at the bottom would be ok, but at the top would be 8mm out, or the middle would be ok but top and bottom 4mm out, for gaming not great, for normal desktop usage you'll get used to it, i've had 2048x1152(L) paired with 1680x1050(P), but I only gamed on the big screen, the side screen was for monitoring, Teamspeak etc.

Did more digging. This guy have a nice PLP setup, yet his 3007wfp and his two 2007fp have a 0.005 pixel pitch difference, and i don't see any visual problem on the video. I think his side monitors are slightly bigger, but it doesn't seems like such a big deal.

The setup i proposed have a 0.045 pixel pitch difference, so it shouldn't be a problem, right? Might want to search more to see if i can find monitors that can fit more together so i can reduce those few useless milimeters to the minimum. Other than that, anything else i'm forgetting?

he'll have a 0.8mm shift from bottom to top, set the middle to be aligned and you'll never notice it, 8mm I think you would, proper selection at this point would minimise dissatisfaction once you've spent the cash.

How do you calculate the 0.8mm? On CNET, the 3007wfp have a 18.5 inch height, and the 2007fp have a width of 17.5 inch. Thats a 1 inch difference, no?

And yeah, i should probably do more research to find monitors with better sizes. Any idea on some good websites with a wide range of monitors? 1600x1200s are quite rare these days, and its hard to find 2560x1600s that doesnt cost a thousand =/

0.005 difference x1600 pixels = 8mm
I'm not sure that there is a 0.045 difference on your setup, 0.255-0.2505 = 0.0045
