Sounds like a bad choice,E8400 could easily overclock to that level,and a Q6600 has more value per dollar,except it takes up more power and produces more heat when all cores are being used..but,that's not likely because there's no games that use 4 cores -_-

There are a few out right now that do. I know the UT3 uses all four extensively (as in 50-80% used most of the time), but I am not sure how many other Unreal Engine 3 games do the same. No other games come close to that level of usage though. Maybe some day they will.

So wait, Nehalem is not being released in Oct'08???

NOOOO! I waited 6 months already for it. Crap, now I have to build my system with a Q9550...at least it went down in price.
