Before I ask this question, I know everyone is going to suggest getting a Z series board..but in all honesty I simply don't want to go through all that hassle so please don't continuously suggest that :/

If I were to purchase a K series CPU for my AsRock H97m Pro4, would it be compatible with my mobo? The stock clock speeds of the K i7 series are clearly quicker then purchasing a typical i7 (example being i7-4790K to a i7-4790). I don't plan on over clocking the CPU, but leaving it as is if I were to purchase it. And would the stock clock speeds be more noticeable then that of the typical i7?

Yep. In the case of the 4790, the K is quite a bit faster.
Depending on your setup, might not make much difference for gaming, but that does depend on what games and how long you keep the cpu.

As usual, list your specs.

I know this is a bit of a late response, but will I still benefit from the hyper threading and everything else it has to offer?
