planning on overclocking... help

Im new on the overclocking subject so anywhere you guys would suggest me to start?

pc specs:

GPU: GTX 980 OC
CPU: I7 3770k
Memory: 16gb 1600mhz
PSU: corsair cx600

Sorry that was a vague answer and you deserved better. The Corsair CX series has a very bad reputation of dying when stressed. They are budget power supplies that belong in budget builds, like with integrated graphics. I wouldn't use one even then myself because you can get a better unit for the same price if not cheaper. Maybe 5 years ago you could buy a Corsair power supply by name and expect quality. That is no longer true although their high end units are still quite good.

My best advice is not to run that system with that power supply or if you have to then to replace it as soon as possible. So, no you don't need more power you just need quality power. A $500 GPU deserves better than a $30 power supply.
