Im planning on rebuilding my pc I plan to keep a few things from this one my grahpics card gtx 970 4gb, power supply 550w, wifi card, hhd, ssd, dvd writer and reader.

I plan on getting a new motherboard, Ram and CPU, Also if i get these would i need a bigger case I want to go intel motherboard and a good one. I have £450 to spend on this and as the G-Card is off the list and otherstuff it should be possible :)

Could you please suggest me the Best I5 CPU, Maybe case, and motherboard and Ram i can get for this Thanks :)

That's my two cents.

Here's the motherboard info:
Asus: https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Motherboards/MAXIMUS-VIII-RANGER/
Review: http://www.pcgameware.co.uk/reviews/motherboards/asus-maximus-viii-ranger-motherboard-review/ (GOLD AWARD)

Sometimes the cost is worth it. The board isn't too expensive and has nice quality, great audio etc.

The Cryorig H7 is a pretty good cooler, and the Asus fan control software works really well.

Update:
Going from an 860K CPU you should see a 40% boost or more in some games, noticeable improvement for MOST, as well as SMOOTHER gaming (percent of LOW FPS due to CPU bottleneck issues will decrease with the new Intel CPU).

This is the most recent intel processor on the market. IT would work, but you will need to buy an aftermarket cooler, as it does not come with a stock cooler.

What case do you currently have and why do you want to get a new one?

Ok thanks :) Also that cooler looks good :) the reason im basiclly rebuilding is recently i put a 860k cpu in the pc wich has no upgrade path, and the pc just black screens randomly during gaming and ive found no fixes :(

1) *Don't forget Windows. It's non-transferable from the old setup.

(You can find cheap copies if you look close. Or look for W7/W8.1 if cheaper and just use the code. You can create your own W10 install disc via the MS Media Creation tool.. google. I've heard people getting W10 for $20USD).

2) 2666MHz CL16 is optimal (read an indepth report on that. Must be dual-channel so two or four sticks. I recommend 2x8GB)
