Question Planning on Upgrading to a new CPU

I'm quite new to PC building and i'm planning on upgrading my CPU, but that means i'll also need a new motherboard. If you guys could suggest me some CPUs (Preferrably under 200$ and AMD) and a Motherboard to go along with it, that'd be amazing. Thanks in Advance!

If you have DDR3 ream, then a new (concurrent gen)board will require DDR4 ram, so that's another part to add to the shopping list.

Current CPU doesnt perform very well in most games

Ram: 8GB Single Channel (other stick gave up on life)
SSD/HDD 1x 110GB SSD for OS, 1TB HDD
GPU: GTX 1050ti
PSU: Dont know the exact Model but i think its a 600W one
OS: Windows 10
