Planning to do an upgrade on my PC to play games but need some suggestions.

As my title says I want to do an upgrade but I'm also on a budget i have an idea on what I would like but i would also like some advice and suggestions on what I should go with or not.

Current system ~
Operating System - Windows 10 64bit.
RAM - 2 x 4gb DDR3 1333(one RAM stick is actually 1866MHz so I would chance the other one eventually)
ROM - 1 TB Toshiba SATA drive
CPU - AMD A4-6300 APU with Radeon HD Graphics 3.70GHz
GPU - None installed
Motherboard - MSI A78M-E35
PSU - ONE ATX Switching Power Supply 800w
Case - Don't think it has a brand seems like a really generic case

So that is my set up and those are my ideas for my upgrade. I have a budget of $300 - $350. What are your suggestions?

Just a general upgrade and most likely to run some games that currently run poorly on my current system, for example Just Cause 3, Call of Duty Advance Warfare, etc. I love gaming but I'm not a full fledged "gamer". If my system could run a game that I like, I would play it. But honestly I want to run Just Cause 3 and games of similar requirements, it don't have to be on MAX setting but above medium for sure.

Minimum system requirements for just cause 3 require an i5 quad core processor. I'd save up some more money so you can have a computer that will give you a playable experience for 3-5 years. If you only spend $300 on an upgrade, you'll likely won't get the performance desired to competitively play these online games with other people. This will result in a negative kill to death ratio and lacking performance, which will inevitably be wasting your $350.

If you only spend $300 on an upgrade, you'll likely won't get the performance desired to competitively play these online games with other people. I don't play much "online" as much as I like CoD when it comes to online I only play CoD MW and MW2 apart from that its Dota 2 and these games already work perfectly on my current system. So I'm not catering for online play. As I said before I'm not a full fledged gamer so I wouldn't see myself saving money to put towards that any time soon. I mainly use my PC for work (mainly Microsoft Office) and school which is Netbeans, Oracle VMware, Packet Tracer and Camtasia. With my current system the main purpose of it is perfectly well so this upgrade is simply just to add extra games to my list.

Too bad, his recommendation would be far better than your original ideas. Better CPU, better GPU, platform with a real upgrade path. And it's also low power so you won't necessarily have to replace that frightening "ATX Switching Power Supply" right away.
