Hello there im wondering if anybody could help me,Im looking to upgrade my machine My current specs below.

i7 Intel 4770k
Tx750m Corsair
Evga gtx 660ti
mother board Z87-k
16gb vengence 1600mhz

1st question I would like to go Sli and buy another card,So would my psu be okay for this?.
(I'm not planing to overclock the gpu will leave factory set)

2nd question I understand that my mother board does not support sli, could you reccomend a new mother board?

Also i'm currently using a corsair H100i to cool the cpu, On installing this no heatpaste was required, If i was to change the motherboard would i then need to use heatpaste?.

Thanks
Gavin.

To your questions:

1. "...like to go Sli and buy another card,So would my psu be okay for this?"
A: You bet, 750w from a good manufacturer (which Corsair is) is plenty for that set up.

2. "I understand that my mother board does not support sli, could you reccomend a new mother board?"
A: Really depends on your budget, but the ASUS boards are best IMO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131975

3. "... If i was to change the motherboard would i then need to use heatpaste?"
A: Since youre removing the CPU (and cooler) in the process...I would absolutely clean off the old thermal paste and apply new. After market pastes are better than the stock past included on the coolers anyways. Definitely go...

Great specs btw friend, congrats and good luck!

Solution
The 660 Ti takes up to 150W on its own so your Corsair 750W can run 3 cards if you want it to.

Here's a cost effective SLI certified board.

And yes you will need to reapply new aftermarket thermal paste when installing the new board. Here are some charts on what thermal compound is best for your H100i:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/thermal-paste-performance-benchmark,3616-17.html
http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/thermal-compound-charts/-3-CPU-Water-Cooling-High-Pressure,3363.html

I have to warn you about some thermal compounds that use liquid metal, as those are electrically conductive and can short circuit your board/CPU if you mess up. As well as compounds that use diamond particles as they are abrasive and can scrub off the CPU markings apart from being a potential skin irritant. Best to look up on youtube/google the different types of compounds available and how to apply them properly for maximum CPU cooling.

And last but not least if you are using an OEM copy of Windows it cannot be activated on a different board so you might need a new copy. If you are just transferring the hard drive (boot drive) without reformatting you can just enter the key of the new copy instead of having to reinstall Windows. (although I'm not sure about that if you are changing to a different version)
