I don't know about you but I constantly find myself annoyed by using 21st century technology weighted down by a battery that uses a form based in the 18th century !!! Do I sound frustrated ??? You betcha !!! Now , where is Buck Rogers when you need him ???

Modern batteries are nothing even distantly similar to a form based in the 18th century. Not even 20th century.

We've made more progress in battery tech in the last 5 years than the previous 50.

That 18th century battery you can replace with a lemon and 2 nails, to make 21th century battery you need a multi million $$$ lab. You can't find in production even 20th century battery technology any more.
