Right second time ive tried posting this as it didnt like my last post and got rid of the whole lot..... frigging thing

Anyway, my mum has a HP Pavilion A145.uk where the plastic bit on the mobo which you use to mount the HSF on has broken where the clasps go. Its a /-------\ type clasp if that makes sense, so currently the HSF is only being held on by one clasp meaning its loose on one side and is not making efficient contact with the CPU.

Ive tried searching on scan for a HSF that comes with its own form of mounting kit but I have not really got anywhere with it. Basically I want a HSF that will replace the plastic bit on the mobo, or comes with a new plastic bit.

Here is the link to the mobo used in my mums pc: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&cc=uk&dlc=en&product=316787&rule=38751&lang=en&docname=c00019945

Its a socket 478 P4.

I really dont want to spend any more then £20 or so plus shipping...

If what I'm after does not make sense i can get pics if needed....

you need a new mounting bracket for a 478 board. Since it is an HP, however, we aren't sure if the mounting method that they used is proprietery.

If it is the standard mounting bracket than you can get it
