I know questions about fps have asked so many times, but still i don't understand this totally

I had a dual core pc with gt 440 vga
(i was just poor student)
And i played most modern games in low or medium settings around 25 fps
I was okay with that fps even in shooting games
Well now um upgrading my pc
this is what I'm building

Intel i5 2400k 3.1ghz processor
8gb ddr3 1333mhz ram
B75/h61 motherbord
ASUS GTX 670 DirectCU II 2gb
600w psu
1tb sata 7200rpm hdd
1080p 22" hdmi monitor
I heard around 30-40 fps will happen in farcry 4 ultra graphics
Well considering my history that will be awesome!
But people used to say 60 is pretty smooth in FPS games and recommended

My question is what should i do
Play ultra and get 35 fps?
Play high and get 60 fps?

Personally I sacrifice quality to maintain 60 FPS on my screens, especially for "high action"/fps style games. For slower/strat games, I would sacrifice FPS for quality.

If possible, you could play around with individual settings, start with Ultra, and perhaps try eliminating anti-aliasing. AA settings typically have a large negative impact on performance, and for high action games, you wont really benefit much from using them.

Like BrandonYoung I'll drop settings to hold the higher frame rate if I need to but lets be honest guys, most current games look fantastic, even on their lower settings and can you REALLY spot much difference between the highest quality preset and one step down? The change in quality is usually quite small but the frame rate hit can be excessive.
BrandonYoung also gives some solid advice on tuning a game BTW.

Yeah i think it should hit average about 45 fps in ultra, but I'm expecting worst case scenario
Well i have bought above processor and vga and tested it in my friend's h61 motherbord with 19" 1440*960 display and it got 50-55 average fps in ultra
I think it's because of lower resolution
It made me think buying 19 inches dvi monitor to get better fps instead of.22 hdmi
Is that a good idea?
