I had a monitor that was 1280 x720 but it accepted 1920x1080 signal no problem. Read online that some manufacturers sell the same monitor for different prices, it is cheaper to manufacture the same monitor and label it differently and charge more money for one. Just try it. If it goes out of signal just alt tab back to your desktop

Ok then.what would you recommend for lcd that can play those resolution? and what brand is it? I'm tight on budget so i prefer cheap and good brand.
Oh and another question, if i play game on a square monitor lcd with 1024x768 res is it still look good and sharp despite not a wide monitor lcd?
