Play phone music on computer but controlled from phone

Hi,
I have a samsong phone with songs stored on it.
What I want to do is to be able to play those songs directly controlled from the phone ( without having to transfer to computer or play from computer, which I can do ) through a wired connection e.g usb connection.

I am using windows 8.1 and when I have my phone set up with usb or with connector ( the headphone type jack ) I can set in windows audio panel to use those inputs ( under recording tab). Whether its usb or line in I do see the meter go up and down when I play the music from the phone so I know the signal is getting through to the computer.

However when I select headphones ( I currently do not have computer speakers ) under the playback tab and set it to default device and enabled I get no sound; I don't even see the meters move. Although when I do "test" ( in windows panel ) the sound does come through and other sounds do work if say I play a game or listen to music directly from computer.

Again I just need to know how I can play music through computer speaker/headphones that is stored on the phone and controlled from the phone e.g. select random plays/ repeats.

It's a long story why I need to do it this way, so to keep this request short as possible I am not detailing why.

Maybe it's software that is needed to act as an interface? I've seen some that seems it might do the trick but they are through wireless, I need this to be wired connection.

You can use a mixer, hook up the speakers to the mixer, the output of the phone and PC will go into the mixer input, and just click over to what you want to hear, or use both inputs.
