For whatever reason ever since I switched to windows 10. Opening my playback device literally takes 2-5 minutes to open. Even if it was just opened. If I go to re open it seconds later. It takes another 2-5 minutes. Makes no sense at all.

This is also running off of an SSD. When I was on windows 7 it opened instantly the second I clicked "Playback Devices" always. So why would windows 10 be any different?

Does anyone know why this is or how to fix it? Or is this only just me? I use the playback device menu a lot since I switch between different audio devices constantly all the time.

Solution
try uninstalling it and reboot, it should reinstall thew audio drivers and maybe fix it if it's just a glitch. Otherwise it may just be a bug since windows 10 is so new; especially if you upgraded by going to Microsoft and not waiting for a formal invitation, they have stated that not all hardware is bug free and were fixing things before notifying people with certain hardware configurations that their upgrade was "ready". That and just spreading out bandwidth usage.
