"'failing to protect children' from pornographic material" yeah, right. I started watching porn when I was 14 and loved every bit of it.
I think children should be protected from being raised by stupid parents if anything. Being not sexually uneducated is a problem, being sexually irresponsible is a problem. Porn..... really isn't, so I guess what happened there is more about business and I'd really like to know who the money's going to...

So they can just slap $100,000 fines for any adult website without a very strict age gate?

Why are they not handing out thousands of these fines every day then?

The best I could get from this story is that it has something to do with the distribution method. I suspect generic internet sites aren't covered.

Ha 100,000 over a stupid button that says "I'm 18. Enter" that stops NOBODY.

Anyways it's not playboys responsibility to "'protect children from pornographic material" that responsibility belongs to the parents.

Agreed. I don't understand why everyone thinks that porn is a bad thing. Let kids watch porn if they want. As long as they are provided a proper sex education at school/home then it is perfectly safe.

Source: 90% of teenagers since 1995.

servers for porn are rarely handled in the countries they serve. it protects the sites from asinine laws.

Wait, I don't get what the hell is going on? Why is that site getting punished for that simple button when basically all porn sites have a button like that? Why are not all porn sites getting punished as well then?

Two thoughts collided during my previous post and lead to a weird sentence. Obviously I wanted to say "Being sexually uneducated is a problem". Sorry

That's the UK, and the majority there are lost on this concept of personal responsibility and raising their children themselves...
