Question Player software for 4k UHD exernal blu ray reader

Hello,

I bought new movie with 4k UHD blu ray disc and new external drive for that Verbatim Ultra HD 4K External Slimline Blu-ray Writer. But I am not able to play movie on my PC. I have no idea why.

PC specs:

• OS: Windows 10 Pro
• GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti ARMOR 8G
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
• Display: 23" ASUS VX239H
• cable: HDMI -> HDMI, DVI -> HDMI
• external drive: Verbatim Ultra HD 4K External Slimline Blu-ray Writer (firmware: BDR-UD04)

My graphic card allow HDCP. I bought special cable for this from DVI (graphic card) to HDMI (monitor). I tried simple HDMI to HDMI too. My monitor is only full HD I know but I just want to be prepared for new 4k monitor what I have plan to buy.

I tried this softwares:

• VLC, but they have no official support and codecs from blu ray
• DVDFab, but they do not support firmware BDR-UD04
• Cyberlink powerdvd live subscribed version (not cracked but bought) but it require SGX and this technology is supported only by intel processors 7th generation or higher and I have AMD

I tried some more softwares but some of them were not able to load 4k UHD from drive only from file and some of them just not working probably (like, I clicked to my drive to load disc and nothing happend or application freeze).

Playing BR through PC is PITA these days. I suggest run MAKEMKV on blueray and if successful, they don't always, VLC should be able to deal with .MKV.
