playing bf4 and planetside 2

I currently have a amd fx 8320 and im wondering if i need to upgrade it,and im wondering if it will bottleneck radeon r9 290 when i get it.Thanks in advance

No, it will not

You will be fine with that combo. I would bump the multiplier to 20 on that FX 8320 and turn basically into an FX 8350. (that is all AMD really does when it sell FX 8350's) Planetside 2 is notoriously known for preferring Intel, so you might need the extra clock speed for it. Will help a bit in BF4 as well.

Read your motherboard manual for how to get to bios and where the CPU multiplier setting is. Change the number to 20, leave everything else alone, save and exit, done.

No problem! I have an FX 8320 in a spare rig and did that from the start. It is insanely easy. Microcenter is selling them for $99 again, so I am going to pick up another this weekend. :lol:
