Playing DVD's Lock up my system

After about 10 minutes my computer locks up when playing DVD's and locks up imediately when I try
to fast forward. I get GDI.EXE and Rundll32
errors. What could be causing these errors??? When I loaded the DVD it insalled this PC Friendly
program. Could this be causing my
problems??
