Playing ps4 and pc on same monitor using one set of pc speaker

Playing ps4 and pc on same monitor using one set of pc speaker, I would like to know if it will work if I use a AUX splitter plugged into my monitor with pc speaker into the splitter and another aux cable plugged in the splitter to the pc . Will i have sound on both ? Ps4 use hdmi to monitor and pc use dvi-d

Could you please pass on the make and model number for your speakers system as well as your monitor? You could get away by using this on one end of your speaker set prior to input, then have this for your PS4 and have the audio from your desktop/motherboard and the PS4 culminate to the dual 3.5mm input for your speakers.

The issue stands with not knowing your monitor as well as your speakers make and model as varying SKU's can come to play and by that multiple variations of audio input possibilities thus the solution seeming a little skeptical.
