Playing two audio sources (tracks) from the same video file to two separate devices

This is what I'd love to achieve in VLC (or any other software where that's possible): watch a film with somebody in a way that one person hears one audio (track) through the speakers, and the other person different audio (different language or commentary track) on a different device (say, headphones). Depending on the video file, sometimes the second audio source is in that file, and sometimes as a separate file.

The trick is that both audio need to be played simultaneously together with the video, and started at the precise time, so opening two videos separately, configuring sound card output on the fly, and quickly starting the two videos is not an option (sometimes the commentary track has a main track in the background, so any delay is heard from the speakers).

Is this possible? (Using Windows 8).

Unfortunately nope, it's not possible to have one video being parsed onto 2 display's while their audio tracks are split per language under an encoded track audio. The issue would be having two players processing the audio albeit the same video which would entail having another machine.

You may want to read this though.
