Hi all,
i have recently installed a cracked copy of Warhammer Mark of chaos and the expansion Battle march.
crack works fine etc.
But im getting random CTD's (exception code C0000005) at certain points of game play. for instance i played the campaign for a number of missions, then got a CTD, restarted and got to the exact same point. and CTD again.
did some research and found that some older games dont like windows 7 x64
so i tried running as admin - no change, then tried compatibility mode with XP sp3 - no change. then tried XP sp2 and it worked. for a while longer, then CTD at a further point. trying again caused another CTD at that same point.
i have the most recent patches installed for both the main game and the expansion.
i am currently on my work computer so cant test, but i just worked out that the game was released during the reign of vista, so i will try compatibility mode for vista and see how that goes.
i have also been told to try forcing it to run with DX9 - i have no idea how to do this.
any tips would be awesome
