[SOLVED] Playstation 3 won't turn on

I have a Playstation 3 that won't turn on. When i try to start it, it starts normaly for the first few seconds, then you hear a couple off beeps and then finaly you get a red light and the whole thing is 'dead'. I tried the fixes for the red light of death (Heating some prosessors on the motherboard and applying new thermal paste), but the same problem returned. Any ideas?
Shal i just repeat the fix i have already done?

if u see a yellow light, its YLOD , other than that im not 100% sure

I'm repairing for someone in my family, so there is personal glory involved!

re-flowing solder isn't going to fix bad components. lol. if you have no equipment you can forget repairs at this point.

Yeah I think you do, but you can probably go to some repair shop that has the equipment to do it, don't really know how much it'd cost though

Also, what model is the PS3? If it's a fat, it's really common to have this issue
You could probably get a used PS3 for cheap
