I'm having trouble connecting my ps5 controllers to Bluetooth. They used to work perfectly but now they don't.

A window pops up saying "Pair Device?" "wireless controller would like to pair to this windows device. Do you want to allow this?" I select allow and a message in yellow writing says "Connection Failed".

None of the controllers are shown on the Bluetooth menu at all. Then I try to wirelessly pair and add Bluetooth device but nothing happens. It tries to connect, one says "couldn't connect please try again", and the other says "we didnt'get any response from the device please try again".

Does anyone know any solutions?

If not already tried, go into Device Manager and uninstall your BT adapter. Once completed, restart the system and Windows should reinstall the BT adapter.

See if that makes any difference. Also, are you able to connect properly to any other BT devices?

The Intel device.
Tried that it didnt work, I then tried going to control panel -> hardware and sound -> devices and printers and trying that and when I goto add the controller it says "the passcode isn't right, try adding you game controller again"

I try doing the Bluetooth thing again and it says "couldn't connect, try connecting again"

Nothing is working, any other suggestions?

Looked in event viewer found this:

"The mutual authentication between the local Bluetooth adapter and a device with Bluetooth adapter address (mac address) failed.

Event ID 16
