I'm in a little confusion, I can't choose between consoles and PCs. I'm on budget, so buying a gaming laptop is a little extreme. So what should i go for? PlayStation? XBox? Or any gaming rig like Predator? Or build my own gaming PC? I wanna play all the fps games releasing in next 3 or 4 years (i hate to spend more bucks on upgrading). Thanks guys, your suggestions always lead me.

I'll just simply say it depends on the games you want to play.

Personally I think at this point, the XBox One and PC are converging into one platform, and certain exclusive One titles also being available on PC would rule out the One as a gaming platform. Especially if the same games are optimised well for the PC. So console-wise you're probably better considering a PS4 or its impending variant(s).

Seeing you're into first person shooters, then the PC seems to be the way forward. Always keep in mind the games you want to play!

A gaming laptop would be limited in upgrades in future. And for the same money you spend on a gaming laptop, the people here can give you suggestions of builds which would be far more powerful and last you longer.
As a console and PC owner, I play my console way more than PC. Consoles are cheaper, games are cheaper AND can be sold when you are done with them. PC video cards cost as much as a console and games are tired to your steam account.

PC games will always look better but its about $1,000 investment to surpass consoles.

While it is true console gaming is cheaper, but a PC is much more useful.

thanks, for that Obakasama. I guess I will go with PC.

So, buying a desktop or building my own ?

Build. You'll be able to build a more powerful PC for the price of whatever pre-built PC is available.

It may seem scary building a PC, but as long as you follow a few basic principles (grounding yourself and discharging static for example) it's fairly easy. Tom's has examples of PCs built to a certain budget in their competitions (I think there's one at the moment focusing on VR). But give the people here a budget and the purpose of your PC and they'll give you suggested builds to suit you.

Yes you can. Quite limited but you can. How much is RX 480 cost in India?

30k, that's more than half of my budget
